READING GARDENS
by GINA DOVER-JAQUES
The Wherefore
Reading Gardens is an evolving body of work, guided by curiosity rather than a predetermined outcome.
Each study offers an opportunity to discover how different forms of knowledge shape our experience of gardens and cultivated landscapes. As the project develops, I am interested in what emerges between these individual encounters: the similarities, the differences and the unexpected observations that might otherwise go unnoticed.
By bringing together photography and the personal reflections of each collaborator, I hope to share something of their individual ways of seeing, inviting others to look again at familiar landscapes and perhaps discover something they had not previously considered.
Where the project will eventually lead remains open. For now, its purpose is to observe, discover and share.
