Not every visit to a garden becomes a study. Some are simply opportunities to observe, to follow my curiosity, and to respond to whatever catches my attention.

Garden Sketchbooks brings together collections of analogue photographs made during my visits to gardens.

Some emerge from the observational studies that form Reading Gardens; others are independent explorations, without a particular question or intended outcome.

Each collection offers a glimpse of a garden as I experienced it, through moments of light, colour, form and atmosphere that felt worth preserving.

 

An invitation, perhaps, to look a little longer.
