Prebendal House Gardens, Empingham

Last year, owners Matthew & Rebecca put their garden at Prebendal House in Rutland through a total redesign. I visited for the first time during its National Garden Scheme open day on 27 July 2025, that realised over 500 visitors, and was captivated by its charm, plus astonished by what has been achieved in such a short period of time. The south facing walled garden, which is Grade II* listed, is part of the 4 acre garden, with the house dating back to 1688.

 

I look forward to watching this garden develop and unfurl over the years.
