My Story
GINA DOVER-JAQUES PERSONAL BRANDING
Straight off the bat, I need to get some beautiful images of me on my website, so that I can walk the talk, right!? Oh yes, and I love stories, both great or small.

A few words that describe the essence of me:
I am a women. I'm a lover of life and grab it with both hands. I am a giver in life. I love good people. I am personable. I am a mother, wife, avid scratch-cook and newbie gardener; there is nothing better than shopping for my dinner from our back garden, and sharing my garden with nature. I am loyal; my husband Ian and I have been married for 29 years. I am incredibly driven, and love being productive. I am intuitive and thoughtful, have a natural eye for beauty, and art.

I consider myself to be very fortunate to have had a hugely successful 36-year career in the Corporate World working for Global Chocolate Giant, Mars Inc., whereby I travelled overseas, worked with many incredible talents, and was involved in many exciting initiatives.
I love discovering peoples stories, great and small. Through stories we make connections, discover, grow and more.

What you maybe surprised to know about me.
I am an England & Wales Cricket Board qualified coach, and gave back to the community by teaching cricket to children for a decade. I also gave back when teaching underprivileged children to read as part of the 'Right to Read' campaign many years ago.

Prior to Personal Branding photography, I was a UK leading fine art hybrid [analogue-film and digital] photographer, covering high-end chic weddings in Italy. My work featured in influential, fashion-led glossy magazines across Europe.
A recent, beautiful story ...
I love to connect with people, and discover their stories. Recently, I discovered Lisa Timmerman online. Lisa's series of paintings entitled 'koi pool' caught my interest, and after discovering her inspirational story behind the series through her immersive video, I had to see her work in the flesh.
I was delighted to discover that a number of pieces from the series were available through The Rutland Gallery in the picturesque, historical town of Uppingham, in Rutland, not too far from where I live, so the very next day, I took a drive over.
The Rutland Gallery is a beautiful family-owned business born from a longstanding passion for art. Father-daughter duo John and Harriet made my visit a very personal experience, and it was so very lovely to discover their story.

John patiently spent time showing me several pieces from the 'Koi Series and imparted his and Harriet's passion for what they do. Lisa's paintings are filled with light, movement and texture; texture that is created by working with oil paints and cold wax, making. her paintings quite visceral.
I am now the proud owner of the 'Koi study 35', and everyday whilst enjoying this beautiful piece of art, I recall this delightful experience.
