ALEXANDRA & ADRIAN

VILLA LE PIAZZOLE, FLORENCE
“What's in a name that which we call a rose? By any other name would smell as sweet.”
Alexandra & Adrian could not have been any more adorable and in love. Their choice in Villa le Piazzole, Florence for their Love Story was perfect for them.
They to be married in Florence because they loved its culture after having holidayed there in the past and vowed to marry there one day. How thoroughly romantic!
They loved how the serenity of the Villa nestled on a picturesque hilltop overlooking captivating
Florentine vistas, its Italian gardens and how the myriad of exquisite spaces offered so many possibilities for every aspect of their day.
When I met with them the day before their wedding in advance of their Reception Party, I was treated to a tour of the Villa and I marveled with them the beauty before our eyes as we turned every corner.
We talked about their Wedding day and I helped them to chose each setting for each chapter of their day.
Heady scented 'David Austin Rose's, Peonies, Lisianthus, Eucalyptus & Olive Leaves
and a backdrop as though from a scene from Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet
Ally;s vision for Styling was light green, olive eucalyptus, with a hint of pastel peach/pink, a soft flowing Fine Art dress with a hint of Champagne and Ady's deep Ocean Blue suit & bow tie was perfect against the subtle backdrop of the venue.
"We love the culture of Florence - it's perfect for us"!
Moments before the portraits, I left everyone to their drinks & canapes to check the light under this pretty garden area with its delightful canopy of trees. It was so pretty and right next to the drinks reception; just perfect. It was the softness of the light and delightful backdrop that makes these portraits so special, I feel.
Like a scene from Shakespeare's Love Story, Romeo & Juliet
Their Wedding Breakfast setting in this private garden space to the West of the Ornate Garden took my breath away. Utterly romantic. What a joy for Ally, Adrian and their loved ones.
