Some gatherings will be outside the burough of Melton Mowbray, so, I have created this page separate to the Melton Mowbray District Nature & Wildlife group on Facebook, in respect of the group's rules.

After taking daily jaunts with my camera in the countryside last year, I appreciate the joy that this simple pleasure brings.

In July 2022, I joined the Facebook group named Melton Mowbray District Nature & Wildlife, created by Carole Dent, a neighbour of mine. In the Autumn of 2022 I organised 'gatherings' in the group for members to meet up and immerse in local nature & wildlife. They were slow-paced, tranquil and delightful.

As the days start to draw out and the clocks spring forward in March, the opportunity arises to pick up where we left off in the Autumn of 2022 with evening gatherings on Wednesdays and Fridays, with the occasional weekend gathering. Each gathering will generally correlate with the time of year.
